Week Five, Day Three -- Contests

In a previous post, we talked about the difference between sweepstakes and contests. In short, sweepstakes winner are chosen randomly while contest winners are chosen for their efforts (creative endeavors, solving puzzles, etc.). As a general rule, we've been entering sweepstakes with only one or two exceptions. Today, though, we thought we'd take a look at some of the contests out there.

Because of the extra effort required to enter a contest, there are far fewer entries than there are in a typical sweepstakes, thereby increasing your odds of winning. Of course, you would only enter the contests that require the kind of skills you possess. For instance, you wouldn't want to enter an art contest if you've never held a paintbrush :-)  All of that being said, the following contests require a variety of skill sets. Hopefully you will find a couple that are just right for you.
